Converge -
June 6th Converge has been hailed as Boston's
most creative and aggressive band and have lived up to that title in their seven years of
existence. The show they played here was nothing less than expected: loud, energetic, and
never disappointing at any moment. |
 |
The Amazing
Royal Crowns - June 8th The Amazing Royal
Crowns are a band that combines early rockabilly showmanship with great guitar skills and
modern do-or-die punk rock. They play rockin', swingin' tunes which are high in energy as
well as octane. |

Home
Grown- June 10th Once upon a time they
opened up for Blink 182. Now Home Grown has bands such as the Mad Caddies and
Formula 1 opening up, for THEM. They play power pop punk in the same tradition as
MXPX and Blink 182. |

The Mad
Caddies - June 10th (with Home Grown) Straight
from the central coast of California comes the ska-core band known as the Mad Caddies.
They play a combination of punk and ska that most people didn't ever expect to happen.
Like a few other bands that came through in June they also enjoy throwing in some
Rockabilly on top of their ska/punk affliction. |

|
Far -
June 11th
Hailing from Sacramento California this emo-core
band is always trying to find the delicate balance between loud and soft. They attempt
this by combining loud guitars with softer, emo style vocals. One band they've played with
in the past is the Deftones. |
 |
The
Urge - June 16th Two years ago the Urge
were new and fresh when they released Receiving the Gift of Favor which
landed them opening spots on the national tours of bands such as 311, Fishbone, Korn. and
Sugar Ray. Now they have their own national tours and a new album called Master
of Styles. If you listen closely you might hear some 311 in them... |
 |
Kottonmouth
Kings - June 16th (with The Urge) Straight
out of Orange County comes the Kottonmouth Kings. They blend physcodelic hip-hop
with their punk rock roots to come up with a sound completely unique. |
 |
Hum -
June 19th They've been together since
1989, which is an accomplishment for any band nowadays. Hum came out with an album
in 1995 titled You'd Prefer An Astronaut which sold 250,000
units. That's quite a feat for a band from Champaign Illinois. Unfortunately
this date got cancelled due to undisclosed reasons. |
 |
The
Skalars - June 22nd The Skalars are a band
that make you want to get up and move. They play a very tight brand of traditional
ska with influences such as the Skatalites and Prince Buster. Last time they were
around Evan Shaw, their trombonist, got up on the balcony for a solo, it was quite
impressive. |

|
Man Or
Astroman - The Breakroom June 30th Man or
Astroman... is the band of the future. They use instruments that somehow were teleported
to them from the 21st century. This may seem odd, but they have the time capsule sitting
in the garage to prove it. Apparently they found it in one of their front yards. |
